if i get a nevada scholarship will it transfer to New York ? I live in Las Vegas now and am i junior in hs. I would like to attend Syracuse University or NYU

You can go on the SU or NYU web site to see what scholarships they offer and what the requirements are for them. there are all kinds of scholarships with very different requirements. go to your public library for college scholarship info and ask you guidance counselor if they have a list

Scholarships are not normally "state specific" unless you're applying to a specific university/college scholarship program, then you have to use it for that school in particular. Most scholarships are awarded to the individual to use for whichever school they choose to attend, regardless of where the scholarship is awarded originally. Some are specific and require that you be attending a university/college in your state, so just be sure to read the eligibility requirements for any scholarships you apply to. If you're filling out a FAFSA (and you DEFINITELY should be), then they'll enter you into a scholarship pool there and the award committees will see that you live in Nevada but intend to go to school in New York so they can decide what they want to give you. Any other scholarships you'll have to seek out on your own. Good luck!
