Answer 1 :
The term you're looking for is "tuition reciprocity," where students can attend state universities in nearby states at in-state tuition rates. Arkansas belongs to the Academic Common Market and has tuition reciprocity with 15 other states. However, the program doesn't apply to every university in those states or every program at a participating university. Each state gets to specify which of their universities and programs will be eligible for in-state rates. Here's more information: http://www.sreb.org/page/1304/academic_common_market.html
Answer 2 :
For example, Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oregon, South Dakota, Utah, Washington & Wyoming have a program. See: http://wiche.edu/wue Look here to see what other states where you can get in state tuition: http://www.goodhousekeeping.com/family/school/interstate-college-tuition-discounts

Financial Aid - 1 Answers

Answer 1 :
The application for federal financial aid is the Free Application for Federal Student Aid, or FAFSA. You do not need to have been accepted to college in order to complete the FAFSA, however, the FAFSA is only used to collect information that will allow the Department of Education to evaluate your financial need. The actual step of awarding you money is done by the financial aid office of a specific school, and you must be admitted, registered and enrolled before you can receive any form of financial aid funds. As for the FAFSA, the FAFSA is completed once a year, and applies for the entire academic year. If you complete the FAFSA now, you have applied for aid for the spring and summer semesters of this year. If you intend to begin school in the Fall of 2009, you must wait until the new FAFSA becomes available in January. Keep in mind that you will need to have completed your tax return in order to complete the FAFSA accurately, so if you'll be applying for the 2009-2010 year, you should get your taxes done as soon as possible at the beginning of the year. Good luck - I hope that helped. By the way, reading through this Department of Education pamphlet will really help you understand the federal aid program (and other forms of financial aid, too!): http://studentaid.ed.gov/students/attachments/siteresources/FundingEduBeyondHighSchool_0809.pdf

Why are Nevada's marijiuna laws for minors so harsh

Why are Nevada's marijiuna laws for minors so harsh?
Honestly, if you're under 21, it's an automatic felony, but otherwise, it's a misdemeanor! Why are Nevada lawmakers ruining college student's lives over a stupid mistake! What's the point of the law anyway? Shouldn't minors get a little leniency, or should it at least be the same punishment? gorrilaschoiceuk, how about treatment and expungement opportunities instead of ruining your kids lives?

Answer 1 :
when you are young your brain is still growing/developing. Weed turns your brain to mush over time as it is... so i guess the good people in nevada thought they'd try to protect their children for as long as they can. it's called a deterrent. they hope that the punishment will put you off comitting the crime.
Answer 2 :
I guess the idea is that adults over 21 are better capable of handling recreational drugs responsibly, and thus shouldn't be punished as harshly. But I do agree that declaring anybody a felon (and thus a danger to society) merely for a substance he chooses to put inside his own body, is counterproductive and unjust.
Answer 3 :
I say lock the druggies up.
