It is A LOT cheaper than San Francisco! As long as you were able to control yourself with all the extreme temptation and focus on school you would be fine.
Answer 2 :
Las Vegas is a commercial hotspot so it's going to be quite expensive. Try Reno if you want to stick to Nevada or go across the border to CA.
