I am attending a high school in Las Vegas, NV. When I graduate I plan on attending a college in Southern California when I look for scholarships and they ask for state residency which one do I put if I am leaving Nevada?

you put Nevada, thats where you live right now.
Answer 2 :
You put Nevada because your current place of residence Now if you permanently move to California like thats where you'd be for holidays yadi yadi yada then after you move there thats when you would put your state of residency as California. However, if you are filling out these applications while you still live in Nevada then you need to put Nevada!
